Mission Ridge was built in 1997. At that time, it was a state-of-the-art retirement home – the BEST in Montana. Like anything, progress happens and things need to change to keep up with the times. Retirement homes, and retirees, all over the country are changing. The national focus on “wellness” in the past decade is helping our society become happier, healthier, and longer-living through diet, exercise, and general wellness.
The Wellness and Recreational Task Force, comprised of seven residents and five staff members, was formed. Their task was to carefully and thoughtfully consider the creation of a wellness philosophy, look at national retirement trends, and make proposed improvements to Mission Ridge to ensure an environment worthy of those who live here today and for years to come.
The task force agreed upon the following new and updated amenities:
Larger Art Studio
Larger Country Store
New Beauty Shop and Spa
Larger Movie / Classroom / Lecture Area
Community and Rose Gardens with Walking Paths
Larger Social Gathering Areas for Coffee and Happy Hour
